Maharashtra Small scale Industries Development Corporation provides marketing umbrella to the SSI Units by marketing their products to Government and Semi-Government sector under its contract marketing scheme. SSI Units  registered with the Directorate of Industries can avail of this scheme.

How does  the scheme operate?

MSSIDC participates in the purchase Programme of the Government and Semi-Government undertakings either through Tender or against the limited purchase enquiries floated by the prospective buyers.

MSSIDC  on behalf of the SSI units registered with the Corporation for marketing assistance, helps them procure orders through such tender or limited purchase enquiry participation.

Product Range Marketed By MSSIDC  : A large variety of products in engineering, plastic, chemicals, resins, drugs and pharmaceuticals, heavy and light fabrication etc. are being marketed by the Corporation to :

Clients : DGS&D, Railways, Post & Telegraphs Department, RCF, ONGC, I.O.C., H.O.C., Bharat Petroleum, BPT, Mazgaon Dock,  Shipping Corporation, BARC, State Electricity Boards, MSRTC, MJP, Municipal Corporation, Zilla Parishads, PWD, Irrigation Departments, Telecom, Social Welfare, Tribal Development, Agriculture Dept, Social Forestry, Income Tax Dept, Sales Tax Dept, Director of Health, Commision of Police, Maharashtra Pollution Control Board, MAIDC, Universities, CIDCO etc.

Rate Contracts : MSSIDC  operates numerous rate contracts of the State Government (CSPO) for supply of various items like :- RCC Pipes, Polythene Bags, PVC Pipes, CID Joints, AC Pressure Pipes, Steel Furniture, Computer Furniture, plastic water storage tank, FRP, water purification product, play ground product etc. 

MSSIDC also participates in the tenders floated by CSPO for finalization of Rate Contracts of  various items.

A Two-Way Benefit : The Corporation through it's Consortia Approach, ensures supply of quality products at the most competitive prices ,with committed delivery schedules for the buyers, eliminating risk of failures of the particular Units through portfolio approach to supply. It also aims at minimising unhealthy cut-throat competition detrimental to the Small Scale Industries, at  the same time encouraging cost effective production methods. Orders received by MSSIDC are judiciously distributed amongst the SSI Units associated with the Corporation on the basis of their production capacity and past performance criteria.

 

Financial Assistance :

MSSIDC is a pioneer in helping to solve the financial problems of SSI Units by Providing  them advance payment against orders under certain conditions.80 percent payment is immediately made to the SSI Units against accepted delivery challans of the  ordered goods by the consignees subject to availability of funds & at the discretion of MSSIDC .
