Salient Features of MSSIDC Raw Material Credit Schemes MSSIDC has introduced need based & customer friendly schemes in 1995 to facilitate the units to procure raw material “ ON CREDIT” at the competitive rates and on continuous assured basis. These credit schemes have been devised with a view to cover working capital needs of the units by supplying the raw materials of the main & secondary producers.
The
salient features of the schemes are as follows:
Supply
of Raw Material against BG/LC: MSSIDC used to deliver raw material to the needy units against Demand Draft (DD) or Pay Order (PO). The units who have been sanctioned the Bank Guarantee and / or Letter of credit limit by their bankers are in a position to submit the BG/LC. In order to enable the units to lift the materials against BG/LC, in the prescribed form, the credit facility was extended from 1995 onwards. Against the submission of BG/LC a credit period of 90 days was allowed with nominal rate of interest.
Delivery of Raw Materials on credit to Rate Contract Holder Units MSSIDC is operating varios Rate contracts on behalf of the State Govt for supply of different items to the Govt. consignees. The raw material required to execute such orders will be delivered to Rate Contract holder units on credit without BG/LC and margin money. The delivery and quantum of material will be linked to the actual placement of order and against receipt of post dated cheques with a written commitment to honour the payment on due date. The delivery of the material under this scheme shall not, however, be a pre-condition for timely execution of the order under the rate contract.
The raw material consuming units desiring to avail the above facility may approach MSSIDC at any of it’s Divisional Offices at Pune, Nagpur, Nasik, Amravati, Nanded, Aurangabad and Ratnagiri or at Head Office at Mumbai. |
